#ANCIENT SPACE LOW FPS UPDATE#
But for now, playing with Hyperthreading disabled seems to get me the best FPS! Thanks a lot for your help! I'll update here again if the keyboard lag resurfaces.
#ANCIENT SPACE LOW FPS UPGRADE#
Maybe you're right about the bad i7 6700's, I might upgrade to a i7 9700K in the future. I'm getting anywhere between 150-250 FPS on Dust 2 casual now.

This means that the driver and BIOS update fixed the keyboard lag issue when Hyperthreading is off. I tried turning off the Asus Utility and there was still no keyboard lag. The amazing thing was that the keyboard input lag actually went away! I played 2 matches in Dust 2 casual, one with lowest settings and the other with highest no keyboard lag in both. I did a benchmark with Hyperthreading disabled on lowest settings. Good to see you got some increase from bios, but yes it was not enough.īenchmark on highest settings VS lowest settings 4:3įor curiosity's sake, I decided to disable Hyperthreading in the BIOS again, just to see if the keyboard input issue has gone away. Like I mentioned there are some bad 6700's out there, I personally had one. Then test FPS, then from there you can up your settings and test. Put everything on low and low on your video control panel, make sure the 16x is off on csgo. Then reinstall csgo and your video drivers.

Whenever I do this I also use revo uninstaller on my video drivers as a just in case. Use revo uninstaller to uninstall csgo, it deletes everything that a regular uninstall doesn't. Also it's worth mentioning that I overclocked my GPU but I doubt that has any effect on CSGO's performance as my CPU seems to be the limiting factor.Īny other ideas? Well you say it's just csgo. The minimal performance increase is still quite disappointing though. This tool also included a desktop app that allowed me to boost the CPU performance (I think). I used EZUpdate included in this tool to easily update the BIOS. When installing the BIOS update for my Asus motherboard, I downloaded a Utility tool called ASUS AI Suite 3 from the ASUS website. However, even after the update, my FPS when walking through the bots in the benchmark was at 100 FPS average and would drop as low as 60 FPS in smokes:/ Originally posted by Psych.G:I did a benchmark before and after updating drivers and BIOS. However, I'll do it if there's no other choice. I really hope someone has a solution for me, because I really don't want to do a clean reinstall of Windows as I have lots of stuff installed. I've tried reinstalling Windows without deleting all my apps and data but the issue still persists. Temperatures look good, both GPU and CPU never exceeding 60☌.

When Hyperthreading is on, my CPU usage in game is around 70%. I checked the CPU usage and I did not see any programs eating up my processing power other than CSGO. I tried reinstallling my keyboard drivers but no avail. I tried with a different keyboard and the problem is still there. When the keyboard lag happened, I rebound my forward key to one of my mouse buttons, and I could walk forward with no lag, but the keyboard continues to lag. Strangely enough, my mouse is not affected by this. I noticed that alt-tabing is also delayed when this happens so I concluded that it is affecting the whole system, not just CSGO. When I press W, it will take a second to register and it's the same when I let it go. The strange thing is my FPS is still running high at 250+, but my keyboard inputs are delayed. However, my CPU usage is constantly at 100% when playing CSGO, which causes my keyboard inputs to lag/delay after 10min of play. With it disabled, my average FPS in game is 200 FPS+. The only thing that boosted my FPS was disabling Hyperthreading in my BIOS. I did a full virus scan with Bitdefender and my computer came out clean. My computer is running at high performance. I've unparked my CPU cores and I've set CSGO to high priority. I have tried lowering all my settings (low resolution, low graphics), launch options etc, but it did not affect my FPS at all.

I run Doom Eternal at Ultra 1080p with no issues, but it struggles to run at high FPS in CSGO. The part that annoys me the most is the fact that my rig is actually a pretty decent rig, but it fails to deliver when it comes to CSGO. I know there's a lot of guys out there who would say that 100 FPS is good enough, but I can definitely feel the sluggishness when playing at 100 FPS, even on a 60hz screen. I figured that a quad core i7 would handle CSGO no problem, but I'm getting 150 FPS average on Valve MM servers, which occasionally drop down to 100 FPS. It's now 2020 and my I'm barely getting 100 FPS sometimes. I have a good gaming PC that used to run CSGO at 300 FPS back in 2017. Hi all, I have been having this problem for the past year and it has been driving me nuts.
